Why It Matters

Why O Level Math Opens Doors

O Level papers reward application, not memorisation, with unfamiliar questions that test true understanding. Strong results here open the next pathways, from JC H2 Math, Physics, and Economics to polytechnic courses in engineering, IT, and data science.

Application over memorisation

Students learn a method for questions they have never seen before.

Pathways stay open

H2 Math, Physics, Economics, engineering, IT and data science.

  • 02

A Math: advanced algebra, surds, polynomials, partial fractions, binomial expansion

  • 03

A Math: calculus, differentiation and integration

  • 04

A Math: trigonometric functions and coordinate geometry

How We Teach

Teach the real gap, not the whole syllabus again

Every student starts with a diagnostic on the first lesson, so we teach the real gap instead of the whole syllabus again. From there, our FLAME method builds the foundation and drives steady improvement.

See how FLAME works

Diagnostic first

Lesson one maps strengths and gaps before any teaching begins.

FLAME method

Our pedagogy turns that plan into steady, visible improvement.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between E Math and A Math?

E Math, or Elementary Mathematics, is the core O Level math syllabus. A Math, or Additional Mathematics, is the advanced syllabus, covering topics like calculus. The Sequoia Vision teaches both for N and O Level.

Does The Sequoia Vision teach both E Math and A Math?

Yes. The Sequoia Vision offers comprehensive tuition for both E Math and A Math, for Secondary 3 to 5 students preparing for N and O Level.

What A Math and E Math topics does The Sequoia Vision cover?

For A Math, The Sequoia Vision covers advanced algebra, surds, polynomials, partial fractions, binomial expansion, calculus, trigonometric functions, and coordinate geometry. For E Math, it covers algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and statistics and probability.

Why is Upper Secondary tuition priced per subject?

Because A Math and E Math are separate subjects with their own syllabus, The Sequoia Vision prices Upper Secondary per subject, so students taking both are charged for each.

Can The Sequoia Vision help a student failing A Math or E Math?

Yes. Several Upper Secondary students joined The Sequoia Vision with failing grades and improved to distinctions. The centre starts with a diagnostic to find the gaps, then rebuilds the foundation.

How much is Upper Secondary math tuition at The Sequoia Vision?

Upper Secondary is charged per lesson and per subject, at $95 on the term plan and $100 on the monthly plan. Taking both E Math and A Math is $85 per subject termly or $90 monthly. All prices are Inclusive of GST.
